Monday Montage Country Flowers

\

There is a little farmers market that supplies these great fall flower bouquets.  They sell them in mason jars, and they are perfect Fall decor.  They have recently closed up for the end of the season, but I am using those as my inspiration for the Monday Montage card today

I used the nested essentials dies and tucked the edge just under the DSP on the inside of the card and used magnets to close the tab.  I glued one to the tab and one to the inside of the card.
Don't you love the country woods paper.  It gives such a great rustic look to any creation.

Monday Montage 268 - Changing Leaves

Oh my goodness - August lasted all of 5 minutes.  Birthdays celebrated and food storage for the winter set aside.  Wishing I was visiting family in Idaho, but the fires around the Sawtooths and that area make for a toxic air situation.  Nobody wants to go on vacation and stay inside all day.  At least, not me.  I am looking foward to what September has to offer.

You are on the Monday Montage Blog Hop - Stay with us by clicking the next button - you won't want ot miss a thing.

I keep channeling Fall, even though we are still in the 90-degree days of Summer for the coming week.  I just love this time of year.  This Changing Leaves set shown here can be used almost all year round.  I needed a sympathy card and thought this stamp set would lend itself to a classic look.

I embossed the background and lightly brushed several colors of ink with the small blending brushes to show off the raised image. I used the same colors as the leaves to create a "sameness" in the images

Stamps - Changing Leaves, Country Flowers
Paper - White, Peach Pie, Boho Blue, Garden Green, Velum, Neutrals DSP
Ink - Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Peach Pie, Granny Apple Green, Cajun Craze
Accessories - Fun Patterns EF, Changing Leaves Dies, Greetings of the Season Dies, Natural Sequins, linen thread

Monday Montage 267 - More Than Autumn

I celebrated another birthday this last week.  Time just gets away from me - I still don't think I could possible be as old as the years say I am.  I guess that is a start to staying young, right?  I am missing my puppy dog as much as ever and wishing I could take a fancy vacation somewhere to relax and celebrate the end of summer.  Instead I have been crafting, preserving the fresh produce we find at the farmers markets and enjoying the summer thunder storms that have been rolling through.

The Monday Montage group is hopping again   I know, it isn't Fall yet, but I couldn't wait to use the new Autumn set in the new Stampin UP seasonal catalog   You will definitely want to get your hands on this.

I like all things Fall and this incudes pumpkin spice.  I don't go super crazy...its the usually a candle for the home and maybe a spiced cider and pumpkin donut, or a cookie, or muffin.

The stamp set comes with all the things you will need to celebrate fall and winter.  Apples, pumpkins, leaves, gingerbread, candy canes, donuts, pie and a cup you can fashion into holding your favorite beverage.

Lets talk about the background.  If you are like me, I saw the plaid stamp and thought, nope, not this time.  But - when I saw some of the creations in the seasonal catalog, I had to have it.  I stamped it in Versamark and then used white embossing powder all over it.  I think it ties right in with Fall, don't you?  You could get super fancy and color the lines with our Stampin Blends.

Stamps - Sketched Plaid, More Than Autumn
Ink - Black, White Craft, Versamark, Stampin Blends and Markers
Paper - Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Canyon Clay Peach Pie, White, Iconic Celebrations DSP
Accessories - 2023-2025 In color Jute - Canyon Clay, More Than Autumn Dies, Changing Leaves Dies, Nested Essential Dies, Neutrals Sequins

Monday Montage 266 Happiest Day

Smack dab in the middle of Summer and keeping busy.  My boy crush and I have been in charge of a church breakfast and we helped out with a nephews wedding.  We also made 18 qts of homemade pickles and 14 pints of sweet hot pickles.  Yes, we love pickles.  We are just heading in to tomato season.  A sweet friend of ours blessed us with some fresh tomatoes from their garden.  Our first tomato sandwich of the season.  So good!!!!

You have found the Monday Montage group and its time for another hop!

One of my favorite things is a dragon fly.  I know they were the bad guys in Disney's A Bugs Life, but I
think they are so impressive looking.  The stamp set Happiest Day just made me smile as read the sentiments and saw whimsical dragon fly.  It needed to make an appearance in my stash.

I used gold embossing powder for the outline, sentiment and accent sparkle stamp.  I then went crazy with all the colors.  Not one color was used more that once and I won't be listing them.  Have fun with it!  I did fussy cut each of the dragonflies out, but it went quickly.  Not a lot of jagged edges.  The card totally sparkles with the gold and wink of stella on the wings.

Stamps - Happiest Day
Paper - White
Ink - all the colors!
Accessories - Postage Stamp Dies, Gold embossing powder, gold trim, adhesive backed sparkle gems, wink of stella,

Monday Montage 265 - Sea Turtle

Are you melting in this summer heat?  I am doing my best to stay inside where there is air conditioning. Not much happening in my neck of the woods.  I have been hoping to do some fun things this summer, but so far it is not stacking up in my favor.  There is always some factor that keeps me from getting out of dodge and doing something fun.

Its time for another Monday Montage Blog Hop.  Welcome!
How cool would it be to swim with the sea turtles.  What is it that makes them so enchanting and graceful.  The Sea Turtle stamp set is great for creating an underwater adventure.

I stamped and embossed the bubble trail in ink and then ink blended over the top of them.  Creating the EAC...perfect for a ride, Dude.  If you are not a Disney fan - you won't get it.  LOL
I stamped the turtles in Night of Navy and immediately covered them in clear embossing powder.  It doesn't work perfectly, but does enough that the ink didn't blend with the other colors I added to the turtle and it does give him a little shine - like he might be wet.

Stamps - Sea Turtle, Changing Leaves
Ink - Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Soft Seafoam, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, White Craft Ink
Paper - Bermuda Bay, White
Accessories - White and Clear embossing powder, Glossy dots, Opal rounds, Changing Leaves Dies Twisted Rope EF (sorry its retired)

Next is Dani  - She always have something fun to check out and be inspired with.

Monday Montage 264 - Beach Day

I am not exactly sure what happened to June, but we have jumped into July with both feet running.  My goal is to get up earlier and get some exercise in each day.  This summer heat is going to keep me indoors as much as possible.  Maybe we will be able to get away for an afternoon picnic up one of the many canyons we have here at our disposal.

You have found the Monday Montage Blog Hop.  Be sure to click next so you can see them all!

What would be really amazing is to find myself at the beach this summer.  I have very fond memories of spending days at the beach, body board surfing, protecting my food from the seagulls and praying they don't poop on my

I know this stamp set is not new, and there have been LOTS of ideas posted, but thought I would give it a go with many more ideas in my head.

I may have used a couple of different die sets, but if you have them I say use them.  I did some shading and layering with some fun summer colors

Monday Montage 263 - Tuned In

The Summer solstice happened and we are officially in summer season.  I am not sure I am ready for the heat and what goals we have set for this season.  I do love the longer daylight we get to experience.

Its already time for another blog hop with the Monday Montage group. Make sure you stop at all the blogs - you won't want to miss them!

I wasn't too sure about this stamp set, but wanted something new to create cards with.  I knew this could be used as a good gender neutral card.  It also allows for adding your own sentiments to make it fun and even a bit spicy.  I appreciate the thought that goes in to each stamp set, but my husband and I love to personalize the card for the receiver.  We never cease to get laughs.

This stamp set also allows for all the colors and a real retro style.  And for some of us a few memories.  No such thing as a remote control and the knobs are for real!

Stamps - Tuned In
Ink - Marvelous Markers, Versamark
Paper - Brights DSP, Granny Apple Green, Silver Foil CS, Black, White
Accessories - Dotted circles 3D EF, Silver embossing powder, adhesive backed metallic gems, ombre matte dots, sparkle gems

Monday Montage 262 - Latte Love

Its been a full 3 weeks since my last post.  We lost our sweet Oliver who passed the morning of May 24th.  He was 11.5 yrs old. My heart is broken.  We also were able to spend some good quality time with my Mom in beautiful Garden Valley ID, picnics at Stanley Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains and some seriously needed down time.  We  have come home to an empty house and adjustment.  I am so grateful for my boy crush and my friends as I have felt their support and love.

Welcome, I hope you are having a good day.  You have found the Monday Montage Blog Hop.  Stick with us and see some fun projects to inspire your creativity.

The online exclusive Latte Love has the cutest little cup die.  I knew I wanted to cut a bunch and stack them.  All I could picture was the scene from Sword and the Stone where the stack of cups float across the room to be washed.  My stack are awaiting beautiful flowers, or just a good cuppa!

When trying to come up with an idea to fill in some space, I found this cute little Daffodil Die and knew it would be a perfect fill for the cup.  I paper pieced the the flower.

I put a cute little heart on the cup and embellished with some in color gems, a sentiment and twine.   Its actually one of those cards, where I used all the things!

Paper - Full of Life DSP, Gorgeous Grape, Blueberry Bushel, Coastal Cabana, Garden Green, Granny Apple, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Melon Mambo, Black and White

Monday Montage 261 - Latte Love

Happy Monday! I am just loving all the spring weather regardless of rain or sun.  The trees and grass are green, my eyes itch, my nose runs and despite that I am enjoying going outside in flip flops and without a jacket.

You have found the Monday Montage Blog Hop.  There are some seriously talented crafters in this group.  Click through them all - you won't want to miss one.

I am not a coffee drinker but I was totally drawn to the Latte Love Bundle.   I will take a cup of hot chocolate any day and I think this set fits totally in that category.  I also have many friends and family members who live for their daily coffee fix

I used the deckled circles to make the curved border.  Creates a fun edge and contrast to the card.  I love how the spoon turned out.  I cut the spoon and then stamped the image in versa mark and silver embossing powder.  It created dimension to the spoon and some extra detail.  I stamped the steam on vellum and used white embossing powder.

I the the Tartan DSP online exclusive paper.  It fit my bistro them and again love the effect it gave the card.  It is a sort of foil shine, really pretty.  I sponged the mug along the edges and detail lines to create some depth.

Stamps - Latte Love
Ink - Early Espresso, Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake
Paper - Tartan Foil DSP, Lost Lagoon, Basic White, Silver Foil, Crumb Cake
Accessories - Basic Bakers Twine, Blooming Pearls, Deckled Circle Dies, Adoring Hearts Dies, Spotlight on Nature Dies, Latte Love Dies, white embossing powder.
