Monday Montage 235 - Wonderful Thoughts

I refuse to turn on my air conditioner until at least the middle of May.  We need cooler temps, or we will be all floating away because we still have 85% of our snowpack and the creeks and rivers and already beyond their borders.  The thing I don't love about Utah is that the evenings don't cool down like where I grew up.  My poor fans are trying to circulate the slowly cooling air from outside.  I have also had this bronchial cold thingy that just wont go away!  But hey, its spring!

Today I am showing a fun little sampling of the new Stampin' UP Catalog that goes live on the 2nd of May.  The country side in DSP just makes me all kinds of happy.  Its so cute, whimsical, fun, elegant all at the same time!  And its great to coordinate together.  The set comes with a floral die, that I layered over white to give it a pop and added some bling and a bow.

Stamps - Wonderful Thoughts
Ink - White
Paper - Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, White, Countryside Inn DSP
Accessories - Wonderful Thoughts Dies, White Twine, 2023-2025 in-color dots, White embossing powder

Monday Montage 234 - Lighting the Way

I am so looking forward to this coming week.  My Mum is coming for a visit and I haven't seen her since Christmas.  I am trying not to pack every minute, but include some restful time.  Lets hope the weather cooperates for some outings.

I got this stamp set and have been chomping at the bit to play with it, but wanting to come up with something cute. I have to credit the inspiration for this card to Yvonne Spikmans (smaller lantern).  She is a Stampin UP Artisan.  All of them have brilliant ideas.  I immediately thought of a back yard outdoor party or luau with hanging lights and flowering vines. Now I need someone with a great back yard to invite me.

I did stamp the sentiment on Velum in case I didn't like it, I wasn't stuck with it.  I am going to miss the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp and die set.  I use it a lot for sentiments and a little bit of sunflower sunshine!  I ran the black twine through the lantern loops to make it look like the power cord.

Stamping With Friends - Painted Poppies

I feel like it is finally feeling like Spring outside.  Daffodils, hyacinths and crocus are beginning to popup despite the lingering snow storms that keep dropping by.  Not too far out from beds of all colors of poppies come out

Welcome to the Retirement Party - Stampin up 2022-2023 products!

Sadly. you will only be able to buy Painted Poppies for your collection for a few more days.  This beautiful set is retiring.  It is so versatile and so easy to lay out for a beautiful card.  I didn't use the coordinating dies, but you will want  them in tandem with this great set.

Another thing that is retiring is Mango Melody ink.  This is one color I am going to really miss demonstrating with and another color that will get used for my personal use.

Stamps - Painted Poppies(R), Beautifully Happy(R)
Ink - Black, Mango Melody(R), Pumpkin Pie
Paper - Granny Apple Green, White

We Create Blog Hop - Playing in the Rain

Ok, Really the theme is April Showers, but have you ever taken the chance to play in the rain or jump in a new formed puddle- especially with a friend?  Its "freeing" and fun and never ceases to bring a smile to my face.  One of my BFF's took a walk up the canyon in falling snow.  It was so breathtaking and quiet because no one else was outside.  Memories that will always make me smile!

Welcome to the We Create Blog Hop.  I have shelves full of beautiful stamps and I seem to gravitate to this little bunny from Playing in the Rain.  He definitely fits the theme!   I always have wanted a red raincoat - don't have one yet, but I gave this little bunny one.  Daisies and a red rain coat - HAPPINESS

His nose is a little pinker than planned, but then whose nose isn't a little pink when its cool outside. I used the stitched with whimsy to create a smaller frame inside the white panel.  It added to the whimsy of the bunny.  I painted Wink of Stella over the water and rain drops to give them some shine.

Stamps - Playing in the Rain
