Monday Montage 152

I don't know about you, but I really need time to slow down a bit.  The holidays are coming too fast and I am not even close to being ready.  I am enjoying our warm fall weather and the college football season.  My Utes had an awesome game this weekend against UCLA  49-3.  We are still hanging out at #7 in the AP poll -   I doubt we will move in the CFP. when it comes out on Tuesday.

Welcome to Monday Montage
So....this time of year, right up there with football, I love to watch Hallmark Christmas movies.  I know they all end the same on Christmas Eve, it starts to snow and they end up kissing...happily ever after.  One of them that I recently watched this year was Write Before Christmas.  SPOILERS

The main character buys 5 Christmas cards to send to her boyfriend to help him get into the holiday spirit.  He breaks up with her before she can send them and she is left with 5 cards.  She decides to send them to 5 people that mean so much to her and the rest of the show is how those cards affected the receivers and their lives.  Moral of my story....getting Christmas cards is the mail is the BEST!!!!!  Send your cards and make someones day.

The holly in the Christmas Gleaming stamp set is what put me over the edge and I had to have it.  I heat embossed in gold the holly on the red and spruce paper.  I then fussy cut the berries and the holly out and layered them.  I love the plaid DSP.  It is soooo pretty with the gold accents.

Stamps - Christmas Gleaming, Tidings all Around
Ink - Shaded Spruce, Versamark
Paper - Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Gold Foil, Wrapped in Plaid DSP
Accessories - Gold thread, gold embossing powder, layering circle dies

Monday Montage 151

I cannot believe that we are already into November.  We only have 4 more football games left in the football season except for a bowl game and if we continue to play as we have maybe a PAC 12 championship game.  This month is a great reminder of how much I have to be thankful for.

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop
I am grateful for friends that invited me into their circle.  To make cards to share and build friendships.  I am still in the process of unpacking thing and found myself looking for my red and green ink pads that are in a box I took to a tag making class.  Thankfully I have a friend that lives 10 minutes from me that saved my bacon.

The card ended up being Christmas despite the fact that I am embracing the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Stamps - Peaceful Boughs
Ink - Shaded Spruce, Real Red, Early Espresso
Paper - Whisper White, Shaded Spruce,  Wrapped in Plaid DSP
Accessories - Snowfall accents, Beautiful Boughs Dies, Real Red cotton ribbon, jingle bells

We Create Regal's Collection Blog Hop

My favorite month is now over.  IT flew by with so much going on.  Utah has had such a beautiful Fall season thus far.  We have had a small bout of January weather pass through, but I am hoping for a little bit more temperate weather before the snow comes to stay. For Halloween treats I made caramel apples for my co-workers and friends.  One of my favorite treats to share this time of year.  You just can't go wrong with a tart Granny Smith apple and caramel.  The rest is just icing on the cake!

My football team is now 9 in the AP Polls.
We play Washington this weekend at Husky Stadium  It will be a tough game.  I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for my Utes!

Welcome to the We Create Blog Hop.  I love the little animals from Back on your feet.
Isn't that little sloth cute and wouldn't you just love to get this in the mail if you were feeling under the weather.  I know I would.
