Monday Montage 233 - Playin in the Rain

I look forward to the day when I can frolic in the Sun and see all the spring flowers.  We had 12 inches of new snow and it keeps coming.  Can't complain, because we are in such a terrible drought.  The positive side is that it just means I can hide myself in my sweats and sweatshirts a few more weeks

Once again I have grabbed my go to stamp set - Playing in the Rain and all the goodies that go with it! Doesn't that Bunny's pink nose lis so stinkin cute.  He is having such a good time!  It reminds me of the Oregon coast, along Canon Beach - there a little bunnies everywhere.

Stamps - Playing in the Rain
Ink - Pacific Point
Paper - White, Granny apple green, Rain or Shine DSP
Accessories - Playing in the rain dies, Burlap Ribbon, Stylish Shapes Dies, Rain Drop EF

Monday Montage 232 - Decorative Borders

Another weekend has come to a close.  Mine involved a funeral,  a few errands, Church, and a pot of homemade bean and bacon soup with homemade rosemary olive focaccia, and a few doggie cuddles/naps interspersed. Not too crazy.

The Decorative Borders stamp set was given to me as a "prize" at the Stampin' UP Onstage get together.  I don't think it would have been one I would have picked, but thought I better put some into to the stamp and give it a whirl.

The circles were cut from the split card textures dies and then a border circle was cut to frame them.  I really like how they turned out.  I colored and cut two of the borders and combined them to make a more full flower border

Stamps - Decorative Border, Framed Florets
Ink - Highland Heather, Black
Paper - Highland Heather, Black, White
Accessories - Stampin UP Blends, Layering Circle Dies, Split Card Texture Dies, Milky Dots, Brushed metal butterflies, blending brushes

The shading was done with an ink pad and blender brush and then I flicked ink with my markers to create the splatter look. It was an easy layout and probably one I have used before, but there are so many possibilities with all the beautiful die cut backgrounds!

We Create Blog Hop - March to the Beat - Queen Bee

As I type this it is snowing outside, I have a bouquet of beautiful red tulips tinged with yellow; and although we need the water, I am dreaming of spring flowers and a little bit of sunshine with temperate temperatures.  Hence the spring colors and card

I love spring, even though it comes with pollens that cause my nose to feel like someone is tickling it with a massive peacock feather and eyes to tear and redden.  Mother nature's renewal is always amazing as each plant, bug, and animal transition.

I love the Queen bee set and all the set and coordinating dies have to offer.  The greenery and the floral dies that add detail to the cuts outs.  The bee wings have been painted with Wink a Stella for shimmer.
The card dimensions are 4.5 x 4.5

Stamps - Thanks a Bunch - (Sale a Bration)
Ink - Black
Paper - Vellum, Pale Papaya, Polished Pink , Fresh Freesia, Mint Macaron, Shaded Spruce, Soft Seafoam, Mango Melody, Black, White
Accessories - Queen Bee Dies, White basic twine, milky dots, wink a stella
