Monday Montage 238 Lazy Days

I am having such a lovely June so far.  Crazy busy with work and a visit to my Mum's to celebrate her birthday.  I am also totally ok with the Spring weather we have been getting.  Temperature in the 70's with scattered showers throughout the week.

Its the Monday Montage group with another hop for you.  I always dreamt of having a beautiful wrap around white farmhouse porch.  With plenty of hanging baskets, planters and clematis vines climbing up the posts.  Maybe one day, I might even have a porch of some type to hang out on.  Gabbing to all the neighbors that walk by.  Well, I don't have that, but I can design my dream porch with this great set from Stampin UP - Lazy Days
Little tricks - I cut the porch post out twice so I could extend it to the length I wanted it. I used the negative image of the cut cloud as a stencil and blended white ink as the clouds to give it a softer wispier look.  I blended the ink on the rocking chair to give it a little color variation so it didn't look all one color.

Stamps - Lazy Days
Ink - Gray Granite, Real Red, Pecan Pie, Black, White
Paper - Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue White
Accessories - Lazy Day Dies, blending brushes, Stampin blends,  marvelous markers.

Don't stop now - head on the the next blog - you won't want to miss it!

We Create Blog Hop - Hey Chuck -Patterns Everywhere

Happy June  - Time doesn't ever seem to slow down and Summer is just around the corner.

You have arrived with the We Create small but mighty blog hop.  Our focus is "Patterns Everywhere"  Hopefully you will see some amazing use of patterns and Stampin' UP's Designers Series Paper.

When I first started paper crafting, I really struggled with patterned papers and how to incorporate the patterns with my design.  I am still not an expert, but am getting better at reaching for the DSP.

I chose to use inked botanicals - which was actually designed with flowers and leaves that were pressing into ink and then pressing them onto the paper - I went a little more subtle with the plaid designs in the package.  Isn't plaid all tied to farm life?

I have to give a shout out to Hey Chuck stamp set.
The Chickens and dies are sooo fun to work with.
