Monday Montage 221 - Bewitching

Who knew that the Crush and I would be moving in just under 3 years....AGAIN!  We moved about 30 minutes from where we have spent the last 25 + years together.  Time for new adventures, new friends, (keeping the old) and finally a garage to put storage in.

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop.  This group of amazing crafters has some great things to share with you. Stay with us by hitting the next button.

So with the move comes the daunting task of unpacking.  I can't find the little metal rods/hooks that holds the shelves to the shelving unit.  So I have been hopping from box to box to box looking for all the paper, dies, stamps and ink.  And I thought I was so methodical and organized when I packed.  It's not bad, I just didn't label boxes, so I remember seeing ribbon, but can't remember which box, or the punches.

Anyway - Bewitching was on top, so I went for it.  I love the witches Hats and all the fun options with the boots.  I fell in love the Striped background - you can find the die with the candy canes  Why not use it for Halloween!?!

Stamps - Bewitching, Scary Cute
Ink - Black and marvelous markers, White Stazon
Paper - Basic White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Velum. Gold Glitter
Accessories Scalloped Contour Dies, Candy Cane Dies, Tailor Made Tags, Metallic woven ribbon - orchid oasis,

So what do you put in a Halloween card - Maybe a gift card for the local ice cream shop, or include a fun memory or picture to share with a friend.  I know both would make my day!

Monday Montage 220 - Christmas Scottie

What a chain of events that have taken off this last month.  I can't believe summer is almost over.  As much as I love Fall, I want to capture as much of the summer that we have left.  I am looking forward to some extended family coming to visit from across the pond and across the states.  Some down time with some of my favorite people is just what I need.

I have once again resorted to paper strips.  I kinda like em!  This little Scottie dog comes in a Christmas set, but I had to try him in a non-traditional way.  Yes I hand cut him out - piece of cake! I did include the tartan.  Can't have a Scot without a bit of tartan. The cute little flowers are from the Hippo Die set - Trying to get all the use out of it for my sample cards before Sale a Bration is over.
Stamps - Christmas Scottie, Pansy Patch
Ink - Black, Orchid Oasis
Paper - White, Orchid Oasis, Cool Caribbean, Mango Melody
Accessories - Rectangle Stitched Dies, Scalloped Contour Dies, Hippo Dies, Festive Pearls.

We Create Blog Hop- Hippest Hippos

Happy August.  Even though Fall is my favorite season, August is one of my favorite months.  Its my birthday month and by now...the gardens are producing amazing vegetables and fruit.  All the back to school supplies are in the store and who doesn't love a new notebook or box of crayons.  If you go to the craft store, you see all the Halloween and Fall stuff which just makes my heart happy!

Welcome to the We Create Blog Hop.  We are highlighting our Sale a Bration Coordination.  This is a great time to order because you get free stamps and oh my goodness there are some amazing choices.
There are only a few of us and you won't want to miss a thing!

I chose to use those dang cute hippos.  You need these stamps and dies.  The dies have so many addition pieces to use with these hippos.  So many options.  I blended three colors on the back ground and then die cut dots and spots as an overlay.  I colored the Hippos with our amazing blends and cut him out with the whimsical circle from Painted Labels.  The sentiment strip was a die from Scalloped Contours that I reduced down to fit the sentiment.  Easy and so cute and fun!

Stamps - Hippest Hippos
Ink - Black, starry sky, Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party
Paper - Basic white
Accessories - Spots and Dots die, Scalloped Contours dies, Painted Label Dies, Hippo Dies, In-Color 2022-2024 matte dots, White frayed Ribbon

MM219 - Scary Cute

The Chaos ensues!  Never get comfortable where you are, because inevitably it will change.  Between work, girls camp, looking for a new apartment, looking after the neighbors pug etc, I've had my hands a little full.  I look forward to what the future will bring  - A new adventure awaits!

I opted this week to make a cute treat tag for Halloween.  Oh does it ever SPARKLE!  I used the Celebrate with tags bundle and used the little pocket to insert a little gift card for ice cream... The tag is attached to a bag of chocolate.  Which, by the way, the media here is reporting that Hersheys is not going to be able to meet the demand at Halloween - Buy early and then your safe .

I love the little hang down bats and moon and the cat with the glitter washi tape eyes.

Stamps - Scary Cute
Ink - Versamark
Paper - Basic Gray, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight
Accessories - Celebrate with Tags Dies, Scary Silhouettes Dies, Glitter Washi Tape, silver cord, Silver mesh ribbon

MM218 Olive Branch

The HEAT has hit!  We aren't spending a whole lot of time outside, which makes this girl a little stir crazy.  Dog walks in the AM and PM.  We pray for summer rain storm daily.   I need to go walk around the mall during my lunch breaks, but that is never good for my pocketbook.

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop.  This group of amazing crafters has some great things to share with you. Stay with us by hitting the next button.

I have been eyeing the Olive Branch stamp set in the annual catalog since it first came out.  I have a set of pasta dishes with olive branches on them for decoration. I just seem to be naturally drawn to the simplicity and colors. It reminds me of fresh bread dipped in oil and vinegar, or an amazing dish of braised beef pappardelle.  The only thing missing from the set would be a few lemons.  I think it is the perfect sympathy, thinking of you set.

I used the marvelous markers to color the image using the stamparatus for placement.  I blended Blackberry Bliss and Merry Merlot for the olives and Old Olive for the branches.  Makes sense right?  I flicked ink form the markers onto the finished product - added that extra touch.  The label is made using a die from the pretty pillow box die set..  Not just for the pillowbox!
Stamps - Olive Branch, Peaceful Moments
Ink - Black
Paper - Basic White, Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss
Accessories - Many Marvelous markers - Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss, Merry Merlot, Stitched with Whimsy, Brushed Metallic Dots, Linen thread, Pretty Pillowbox Dies

Monday Montage 217 - Hes' the Man - Mountain Air

Happy 4th of July to my American Friends!  The weekend is flying by and I want to participate in all the fun things and not miss out.  Then....the introvert part of me just wants to stay home and relax, read a book, craft, watch a chick flick and A Capital Fourth on TV.  The struggle is REAL

Stamping With Friends - Paper Strip Challenge

Welcome to the Stampin' With Friends Blog Hop - Paper Strip Challenge. Happy 4th of July and Canada Day Weekend to those in the US and Canada.  I hope you have an amazing weekend full of family, friends and lots of good food and fireworks!

I kept my paper strip design fairly simple as the colors were bright and eye catching.  This was a lot of fun to put together.  I added the stitched with whimsy lines on the edge to fill in the space but leaving the clean look of the card.  The daisy petals were curled in opposite directions to give it some dimension.    I can always use a generic birthday card in my stash for the unplanned party!  That cute little orange flower ties it all together.

Stamps - Charming Sentiments
Paper - Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Pale Papaya, Ivory, Basic White
Ink - Black
Accessories - Medium Daisy Punch, Fun Flowers Resin Shapes, Stitched with Whimsy, Stylish Shapes

Thanks so much for stopping by!  There is more to see in todays blog hop.  Be sure to work your way through the blogs so you don't miss a thing.
