We Create - Garden Meadow - March to a Different Beat


I love everything about March.  All the signs that spring is coming, and a little bit of Jack Frost mixed in to remind us that Winter is not over.  My wedding anniversary is this month. St Patricks is the perfect reason to wear green, have corned beef dinner, and Irish cream dessert to celebrate a holiday that means absolutely nothing to me.  LOL

I wanted to create a Spring/I'm so lucky card.  I combined elements from a few of my favorite die and stamp sets, Why use one when you can use more.

Bright Skies - Monday Montage 255


February is the month I label "Recovery"  It's my chance to catch up with everything that got dropped in January because of work being so busy.  I started taking Pilates classes and trying to schedule them early in the morning to attempt to change my horrible "staying up too late" "solving all the worlds problems after midnight" habit.  I want to love the process - I'm not there yet. My super bowl team didn't win - I am not a swifty - I don't get it.  This month is also the month I celebrate my Boy Crush's birthday.  After February comes spring!  All things looking up.


It is time for another Montage Montage Blog Hop  - make sure you make it to all the stops - it will be worth it!

As this card came together with the really cute new stamp set Bright Skies with those really cute cloud patterns and die cuts, I couldn't help but use one of my all time favorite stamp sets - Playing in the Rain.   They are meant to go together.  Those cute little animals with the rain and flowers coordinates beautifully with each other.

I love all the extras that come with the coordinating die set.  There isn't a question you have to get the3 bundle.  Its a perfect way to create a scene with such fun images and details.

Share a Milkshake - MM254


Phew - We made it through January and my sanity is mostly in check.  It is crazy how being so busy and working from home can make me stir crazy.  I tried a Pilates class for the first time this month. It was fun and hope to try again soon.

I decided to revisit the main Stampin UP Catalog and play with the milkshake set.  It won't be long until there is a new one and this is a must have set.  Plus, you can also take advantage of Sale A Bration.  


I needed a couple of birthday cards and knew this would make a fun card.  One I could easily slip in a gift card to a favorite ice cream place.  I image the one included on this card might be an orange dream bar shake, vanilla and a bright orange flavor.  Or maybe an Fanta Orange Float.  Mmmm that sounds good too! 

The dies that accompany the stamp set are perfect with the extras to make the card perfect cause you might need a spoon with that extra thick shake.

Simply Sparkling - Monday Montage 253


I really can't complain too much about January.  We have had a couple of proper snow storms, some freezing East winds, and some rain to clear out the air of pollution.  We have a little over a week to go and then I just really start looking for signs of spring.

When I pulled out the Simply Sparkling stamp set to play with, all I could think about is that old Shasta commercial....  Go ahead and google it - you will be singing it for the day.

Lately I have been enjoying Mountain Dew Spark - a tart raspberry lemonade.  I thought I would do a lineup of citrus flavors with a Slightly Sour warning.  I wasn't until I showed the card to my boy crush that he thought I was referring to the Friend as sour.  LOL  Not my intention, but kind of funny.

I added some wink of Stella to the soda pop can to make it sparkle...
I stamped off both the pumpkin pie and Parakeet to they colors were a little understated on the cans.  We certainly carry some bright colors. I took advantage of that and blended our ink to create the dotted background.  Think Bubbles!

Monday Montage 252 - Fluffiest Friends


What a crazy Winter season this has been.  The ski resorts are finally getting the beautiful powdery snow and Oliver the bulldog is having issues finding good potty spots because there is so much.  I love looking at the snow covered trees, but don't like walking or driving in it.

This little kitty from Furriest of Friends which you can find in the online exclusives is just adorable holding the little flower pot among the little garden of flowers.  Purely enjoying itself.

I speckled the background with marker splatter to provide some interest instead of a plain background.

My mom's little dog crossed the rainbow bridge last night.  She had a little heart murmur and her little body just decided it was done.  We called her our little Sadie Lady. She was precious, loving and full of sass and pizzaz! She knew how to get treats anytime she wanted and loved a good snuggle under a blanket.  We are going to miss her.   Its crazy how attached we get to those little furry babies.

I want, with all my being, to love January, but it isn't my fav.  We live in a bowl - surrounded by mountains and we get locked in with pollution and its gray and cold and not really close to spring.  I totally understand why some animals hibernate.  It makes sense.  Crazy enough, I always make it through and only with minor damage. LOL

Monday Montage 250 Joy of Noel

 




Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat

I just keep singing this little rhyme as we keep getting closer to Christmas.  I am really trying to take the Christmas Season all in. The lights, decorations, food, friendships and just trying to be a little kinder.

When I saw this stamp, I knew I wanted to try it out on colored card stock and add color to the images with colored pencil.  I only wish I could get a better shot of how much the color pops!
