Monday Montage 208 Rainbow of Happiness

February has been a pretty quiet month - not a whole lot happening. Here are my sparkler thoughts this evening.
  •  My boy crush doesn't want to celebrate his birthday this coming week, but I do.  We'll see who wins that discussion.
  • I've been trying to convince myself I need to give up my soda habit and spend more time walking at the park.  I need me some Sunshine and natural vitamin D
  • Practicing my sourdough bread skills. MMmmm love me some fresh out of the oven bread
  • Having a hard time not putting Cadbury Easter Eggs in my shopping cart
  • Looking forward to my monthly brunch group this week.
  • Played Pickleball for the first time last week.  If only I could find some newbies that want to learn with me and oh yeah, find a court.

I am feeling the spring fever.  But like in many states that experience all four season in the extreme, we are going from a 60F degree weekend to freezing cold temperatures for Presidents Day.  Snowy, Wet...stay in and craft kinda day.  Except for walking the dog, it will be a stay inside day.  I do have a batch of sourdough bread in the fridge ready for baking in the morning.  Been trying out using Rye flour in my starter.  Will have to report.

I am not entirely sure this card works... but I love the daisy with the rainbow and the little sentiment in the arch.  The sparkle that was cut out four times from the light side of the Ombre paper.  Which, by the way, is sooo sparkly and pretty.  I love the brass butterflies - they are so cute, I had to include them.

    • Rainbow of Happiness, Peaceful Moments
    • Ink - Black
    • Paper - White, Navy, Ombre Specialty paper
    • Accessories - Large and Medium Daisy Punches, Brilliant Rainbow Dies, Polka dot EF, Brush Brass Butterflies, Champagne rhinestones

Monday Montage 207 SU Decorative Masks

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop  Make sure you make it all the way through by hitting the Next button - you won't want to miss a thing!!!

Several years ago at a Stampin' UP convention, they had these decorative rose stamps that you could use for your walls, platters, frames, etc.  Every sample looked like it belonged in Grandma's house.  My friends and I had a good giggle about it.   I finished this card and immediately sent my friend a pic and said - "oh no" I created a granny card!  Haahahahha

I haven't played with the decorative masks very much and always o00h and ahhhh over someone's card that has used them.  I wanted to try these flowers - they are so pretty and so easy.  The hardest part is coming up with a color combo.

The leaves are fun to play with and place as many and where ever you want them.  Its also easy to shade, darker and lighter.  I added a few sparkly bits to match the glitter in the Thanks.  I masked off the sentiment from In Symmetry to just capture the "so much" and embossed that in white.

  • Stamps - In Symmetry
  • Ink - Rich Razzleberry, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody
  • Paper - Basic white, Granny Apple Green, Rich Razzleberry, Ombre specialty paper
  • Accessories - Artistry Blooms adhesive backed sequins, Amazing Thanks Dies, Stitched Rectangles, Brushed Brass Butterflies, White embossing powder, wink of stella

We Create - Lovely and Sweet with Measure of Love SU

It has been a while since I have been able to participate in this hop.  Between  family funerals and being out of town for the holidays I haven't even been close to my craft space.  It has been good to get back to my happy place and create.  We have sunshine today - even though we have a slight breeze I am loving the sun.

Welcome to the We Create Blog Hop.  There are only a few of us this round and you won't want to miss a thing!

This cute little bowl of cherries is totally Lovely and Sweet!  I created the little window by using the stitched rectangles dies, cutting it twice to extend the open space.  To make the scalloped piece under the bowl I used one of the frames from the scalloped contour dies and just cut a section.

Stamps - Measure of Love, Pansy Patch
Ink - Pale Papaya, Real Red, Pear Pizzazz
Paper - Very Vanilla, Flowering Fields DSP (red dots), Daffodil Afternoon DSP SAB (plaid), Real Red, Pale Papaya
Accessories - Give a Whirl Dies (heart), Scalloped Contours Die, stitched rectangle dies, Many Message die, resin hearts (retired)
