January is on its way out and we finally have a skiff of snow on the ground. Valentine decor is up (small amount compared to Christmas) and the Christmas stuff finally got put away. I always wished for a cute little family to have dinners and special valentine traditions with. It is just boy crush and I and he isn't into that kind of thing too much. Maybe this year I will make it extra special - planning gear has kicked in :)
Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop. I hope you stick around and find a project that inspires you or at least makes you smile.
I have been wanting to give the slimline style cards a go. That is a lot of card real-estate to cover and can be intimidating. I chose to use the Darling Donkey Set from Sale a Bration. I couldn't choose just one image, so this format allowed me to use them all.
There are so many uses for these stubborn but darling creatures featured in the stamp. I've ridden a donkey before, his name was Cabbot. He definitely had his stubborn streak and wasn't afraid to share it with you. Hahaha The kicking donkey in the set is more his style.
This is one of those cards, where I used "all the things", but why not if you have them.
Ink - Black, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray
Paper - Thick Cardstock, Berry Delightful DSP, Basic White, Real Red, Flirty Flamingo
Accessories - Layers Squares dies, Stitched Shapes dies, Stitched So Sweetly dies, Stitched Be Mine dies, Resin Hearts, Banners Pick a Punch, Blending Brushes, Blending Pens, Wink of Stella, Snail Mail Twine
Here is the inside.....I attempted to make it look like the donkey was kicking the hearts. Just think about all the things this stubborn little donkey could be kicking your way!!!
I continue to use my word Prevail as I encounter the challenges that come my way. I rely a lot on prayers and hope. It is easy to let social media and news channels take away my peace of mind. I shake my head a lot and try to refocus on things that I can change and things that make me happy.
My headlines for the last week.
1. Color Street nail strips turn a blah manicure into an Amazing manicure
2. Fresh Air clears the mind and provides clarity
3. Card Making/Crafting provides creative outlet for stress
4. Student of Artisan bread making uses a Biga to broaden bread making skills
