We Create Masculine Cards Blog Hop

My husband and I just returned from a trip to the Oregon Coast.   What is it about the ocean that provides such a respite from the daily cares and tasks that we seem to let consume us.   This shot was taken early morning at Cannon Beach.  Oliver (the dog) and I had some great walks.

Masculine cards are always a challenge to me.  Usually I like to find funny sayings or sarcastic humor to create cards for the guys in my family.  That being said, Stampin UP has great stamps, but I never seem to connect with my style for manly cards. This is my attempt...although my Dad has passed from this life, we sure did enjoy his BBQ.

My goal was to not create a boring card - same old same old.  What can you really do with an apron???  And...have it be original and funs.  The Apron set and coordinating dies are sooo cute and provide a way to do masculine and feminine cards.  Lets see if my creation translates to not boring but fun.

I added black stitiching down the white stip, but didn't like it so I covered it with some Silver cord for embellishment. Silver foil paper was used for the grill tools.

Hop on over to Jeanna's and check out her creations.

That ice cream looks so good! I also love your card. Great colors for a masculine card and I love the metallic on the utensils.

Great color combination. Love the way the red apron pops against the black background. The BBQ tools are so cool. :)
