Monday Montage 261 - Latte Love

Happy Monday! I am just loving all the spring weather regardless of rain or sun.  The trees and grass are green, my eyes itch, my nose runs and despite that I am enjoying going outside in flip flops and without a jacket.

You have found the Monday Montage Blog Hop.  There are some seriously talented crafters in this group.  Click through them all - you won't want to miss one.

I am not a coffee drinker but I was totally drawn to the Latte Love Bundle.   I will take a cup of hot chocolate any day and I think this set fits totally in that category.  I also have many friends and family members who live for their daily coffee fix

I used the deckled circles to make the curved border.  Creates a fun edge and contrast to the card.  I love how the spoon turned out.  I cut the spoon and then stamped the image in versa mark and silver embossing powder.  It created dimension to the spoon and some extra detail.  I stamped the steam on vellum and used white embossing powder.

I the the Tartan DSP online exclusive paper.  It fit my bistro them and again love the effect it gave the card.  It is a sort of foil shine, really pretty.  I sponged the mug along the edges and detail lines to create some depth.

Paper - Tartan Foil DSP, Lost Lagoon, Basic White, Silver Foil, Crumb Cake

Monday Montage 260 - Simply Sparkling

Its May!  The month of it may be sunny, it may be rainy, it may freeze, it may snow....wait....It is snowing!
Perfect day to stay in and have homemade soup and bread take a nap and do some crafting.  I still can't figure out where April went.

One of the activities that was held at Onstage was an after hours stamping event where we could select a bundle to create with. I chose to purchase a stamp set and dies called Spotlight on nature. The set of circle dies have various different borders.  One of the designs, we thought. would be cool to weave some thread in and out of the border

I took my white bakers twine and colored it yellow and green to match my lemon lime soda and wove the thread through the "holes"  I think it turned out pretty good!  It will be fun to see how other threads look.

I also surprised myself by using some of that amazing BRIGHT paper we were gifted at onstage - Full of Life DSP.  The DSP doesn't leave any color out!  I also used the markers to fleck some ink splatter on the card for additional Fizzzzzzz.

Stamps - Simply Sparkling
Ink - Garden Green, Black and Markers
Paper - Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Basic White, Full of Life DSP, Vellum, Silver Foil
Accessories - White Bakers Twine, Simply Sparkling Dies, Spotlight on Nature Dies
