MM219 - Scary Cute

The Chaos ensues!  Never get comfortable where you are, because inevitably it will change.  Between work, girls camp, looking for a new apartment, looking after the neighbors pug etc, I've had my hands a little full.  I look forward to what the future will bring  - A new adventure awaits!

I opted this week to make a cute treat tag for Halloween.  Oh does it ever SPARKLE!  I used the Celebrate with tags bundle and used the little pocket to insert a little gift card for ice cream... The tag is attached to a bag of chocolate.  Which, by the way, the media here is reporting that Hersheys is not going to be able to meet the demand at Halloween - Buy early and then your safe .

I love the little hang down bats and moon and the cat with the glitter washi tape eyes.

Stamps - Scary Cute
Ink - Versamark
Paper - Basic Gray, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight
Accessories - Celebrate with Tags Dies, Scary Silhouettes Dies, Glitter Washi Tape, silver cord, Silver mesh ribbon

MM218 Olive Branch

The HEAT has hit!  We aren't spending a whole lot of time outside, which makes this girl a little stir crazy.  Dog walks in the AM and PM.  We pray for summer rain storm daily.   I need to go walk around the mall during my lunch breaks, but that is never good for my pocketbook.

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop.  This group of amazing crafters has some great things to share with you. Stay with us by hitting the next button.

I have been eyeing the Olive Branch stamp set in the annual catalog since it first came out.  I have a set of pasta dishes with olive branches on them for decoration. I just seem to be naturally drawn to the simplicity and colors. It reminds me of fresh bread dipped in oil and vinegar, or an amazing dish of braised beef pappardelle.  The only thing missing from the set would be a few lemons.  I think it is the perfect sympathy, thinking of you set.

I used the marvelous markers to color the image using the stamparatus for placement.  I blended Blackberry Bliss and Merry Merlot for the olives and Old Olive for the branches.  Makes sense right?  I flicked ink form the markers onto the finished product - added that extra touch.  The label is made using a die from the pretty pillow box die set..  Not just for the pillowbox!
Stamps - Olive Branch, Peaceful Moments
Ink - Black
Paper - Basic White, Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss
Accessories - Many Marvelous markers - Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss, Merry Merlot, Stitched with Whimsy, Brushed Metallic Dots, Linen thread, Pretty Pillowbox Dies

Monday Montage 217 - Hes' the Man - Mountain Air

Happy 4th of July to my American Friends!  The weekend is flying by and I want to participate in all the fun things and not miss out.  Then....the introvert part of me just wants to stay home and relax, read a book, craft, watch a chick flick and A Capital Fourth on TV.  The struggle is REAL

Stamping With Friends - Paper Strip Challenge

Welcome to the Stampin' With Friends Blog Hop - Paper Strip Challenge. Happy 4th of July and Canada Day Weekend to those in the US and Canada.  I hope you have an amazing weekend full of family, friends and lots of good food and fireworks!

I kept my paper strip design fairly simple as the colors were bright and eye catching.  This was a lot of fun to put together.  I added the stitched with whimsy lines on the edge to fill in the space but leaving the clean look of the card.  The daisy petals were curled in opposite directions to give it some dimension.    I can always use a generic birthday card in my stash for the unplanned party!  That cute little orange flower ties it all together.

Stamps - Charming Sentiments
Paper - Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Pale Papaya, Ivory, Basic White
Ink - Black
Accessories - Medium Daisy Punch, Fun Flowers Resin Shapes, Stitched with Whimsy, Stylish Shapes

Thanks so much for stopping by!  There is more to see in todays blog hop.  Be sure to work your way through the blogs so you don't miss a thing.

Monday Montage 216 - Reason to Smile 2

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop.  I think I could use some Big Hugs and Good Vibes.  Summer is upon us and my time continues to fill up.  I guess it is a good thing to keep busy.

After many variations - this is where I ended up.  I used the Stamparatus to create the main image.  The crumb cake paper seemed to quickly absorb the ink.  Took many layers of ink to get it to look the way I wanted it.  I love the bold colors and the one image that fills the card.

Stamps - Reason to Smile
Ink - Garden Green, Strawberry Sorbet, Polished Pink, Orchid Oasis, Soft Suede
Paper - Crumb Cake, Real Red, Orchid Oasis, Evening Evergreen
Accessories - Basic Border Dies, Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim, Rustic Metallic dots

Kre8tors June Blog Hop Tic Tac Toe - Big Wishes

Welcome to the Kre8tors June Blog Hop as we play a little game of  CASE tic tac toe!  I chose the middle column, although I think I also fit the criteria for the bottom row as well.  Double BONUS!

I chose to CASE Yvonne Spikmans - Van Bruggen at The Creativee Teacup.  I frequently find myself in a bind looking through my stash for a last minute birthday card.  I really like to create them with that specific person in mind, but sometimes desperation calls for generic.  For the challenge I decided to start adding some of these to my stash.

Biggest Wish stamp set carried over from the previous catalog.  This set is bold and easy to create a great card and make it gender neutral/generic.  I love the little candles from the sentiment silhouette dies.  Candles make birthdays more fun.

Stamps - Big Wishes
Ink - Starry Sky, TahitianTides, Parakeet Party
Paper - Basic White, In-color 2022-2024 DSP
Accessories - Black embossing powder, Black and White Gingham Ribbon, Parakeet Party metallic ribbon, Sentiment Silhouette Dies, 2022-2024 In-color matte decorative dots

As you hop through, I hope you are inspired by one of these projects to CASE and make it your own.

Don't miss out!  Hit the next button to see what Annette came up with from the Tic Tac Toe board.

We Create - Reason To Smile

I am not sure how it happens, but it seems like the all the things fall on the first week of the month.  I am always so grateful to get past those few days.  I am loving the wet spring we have been experiencing with a few warm days.  The flowers are popping and gorgeous.

Welcome to the We Create Blog Hop.  We are highlighting our favorite things from the new Stampin' UP Catalog.
There are only a few of us and you won't want to miss a thing!

I have several favorites and all for different reasons.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the in colors for 2022-2024.  They are bright cheery and so fun to use.  I chose to highlight the Reason to Smile stamp set.
This stamp set enables me to make a great card in just a few minutes.  I used my Stamparatus and masked the floral parts of the stamp and inked and stamped in black.  Once I got the intensity of black I wanted, I removed the masks and with my stamp n write markers I colored the flowers and was able to stamp them in exactly the right place.

I always think about who I would send my card to as I make it.  I immediately thought of my sweet SIL who passed away late fall last year.  She always gave me a reason to smile.  I think I will just hang this card on my pin board and every time I see it I will think of her!

Stamps - Reason to Smile
Ink - Black
Paper - Basic White, In color 2022-2024 DSP
Accessories - In color twine 2022-2024, In color matte dots 2022-2024, Scalloped Contour Dies, Stamp n Write Markers In color 2022-2024
