Monday Montage 257 - Spotlight On Nature

"There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature - the assurance that dawn come after night, and spring after winter." - Rachel Carson

And right on schedule, we are having Utah Spring at its best. I always get so excited when I see the forsythia start to bloom and the blossoms on the apricot trees pop open. One day its 70 degrees F and then the next we have snow on the ground.

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop.  These amazing gals always share amazing projects.  Stick around and see them all!

.

Today I am showcasing some retiring product and some new you will want to get your hands on.  Decided to go with a monochromatic scheme of pretty blues. Calming and feminine.

I colored the back of the embossed image of the butterfly with markers. I love how the blue pops out in contrast with the white.

Simply Zinnia - Monday Montage

Life seems to keep throwing punches at me and I am not dodging the hits very well.  Sometimes I wonder why I keep getting up.  What I do know is that my Savior, my boy crush and my friends are such a great support and comfort to me.  I did celebrate a 27 year anniversary to my boy crush this week.  I am so lucky!

Its time for another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss the amazing talent we have in this group.

Have you seen the Simply Zinnia Suite - Its an Online Exclusive set and is so popular - Put it on your wish list. The bright colors in the DSP and fun embellishments, stamps and die cuts make it a must have.

I saw this background done on social media and decided to give it a try.  I took a couple strips of white cardstock scrap and masked off three spots on the back ground of the card.  Used the blending brushes to color the card.  I ran it through the embossing machine with a fun new folder that is also an online exclusive.  The rest is all done with the magic of the Simply Zinnia bundle.

I blended ink on the petals and leaves to create some depth to the petals and leaves.

Stamps - Simply Zinnia
Ink - Lost Lagoon, Fresh Freesia, Pretty Peacock, Blackberry Bliss.
Paper - Black Berry Bliss, Fresh Freesia, Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock. Lemon Lolly, Parakeet Party
Accessories - Simply Zinnia Dies, Fun Patterns EF, White embossing powder, white twine, purple fine shimmer gems, Wink of Stella.

Stick with the hop and see what Dani has in store.

Stamping With Friends - Thoughtful Expressions

It is a blustery wet day here in Utah.  I am all bundled up in my favorite sweatshirt and sweatpants.  The day couldn't be more perfect for an excuse to stay home to stamp and create wonderful projects.  I will probably throw in a nap and maybe bake a treat to go with some soup and home made bread for dinner.

Welcome to the Stampin' With Friends Blog Hop - with a little twist of Tic Tac Toe

My version is the first column:
  • Thankyou, -Pansy Patch
  • Embossing (heat) - Black

I haven't had a chance to use my Thoughtful Expressions Stamp set.  I was lured in with the coordinating dies and had to have the set.  Hummingbirds and flowers are always appreciated and pair well with the Thank you sentiment from Pansy Patch

We Create - Garden Meadow - March to a Different Beat

I love everything about March.  All the signs that spring is coming, and a little bit of Jack Frost mixed in to remind us that Winter is not over.  My wedding anniversary is this month. St Patricks is the perfect reason to wear green, have corned beef dinner, and Irish cream dessert to celebrate a holiday that means absolutely nothing to me.  LOL

Welcome to the We Create blog Hop where we are Marching to the beat of our own drum.  I don't have any drum stamps, but I do know how to celebrate March.  My pot of gold if full of flowers and includes friendship!  Can't get more golden or sought after.

I wanted to create a Spring/I'm so lucky card.  I combined elements from a few of my favorite die and stamp sets, Why use one when you can use more.

Stamps - Playing in the Rain, Garden Meadow
Ink - Markers and Blends
Paper - Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue, Soft Seafoam, Lemon Lolly, Calypso Coral, Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, White
