Newest Member of the Family

We took a little unplanned trip to Idaho over Presidents Day to pick up a recent purchase/adoption.  He stole our hearts from the very beginning.

Introducing Oliver...(little spit)

He is a French/English Bulldog and he is pure puppy.  Floppy ears and blue eyes.  We teased that he had eyeliner on as both eyes are lined black.  Maybe we should have named him King Tut

Plays hard - crashes - plays hard - crashes - plays hard and then crashes.  We haven't gotten too many pics as he was always hopping, rolling, running, chewing or piddling on the floor.  There is nothing safe at his level.  We put a child safety gate at the kitchen door to keep him in...well he can climb over it.  He is so loving and cuddly, and mischievous.

Riley and Oliver get along great as long as Oliver doesn't try to eat.  Riley thinks all the food is his.  Something we are working on.  Oliver already loves to go for walks, but holds "it" until he gets back into the house.  He already knows that he shouldn't because he waits for you to turn your back.

He likes to sleep on his back.  This is a picture of him on the ride home.  We had pillows set up between the two front seats and he chose that spot.  Cutest little puppy belly.  I call him my little roly poly puppy.

We stayed over with Mom for a couple of days.  She was so good to us and took care of us.  I got a good nap in on Monday and I also got to have some of her sourdough scones (fry bread) for breakfast. A rare treat.

A quick update on activities

We were able to do a few fun things during the first part of February.  Ralph got tickets to go see Branford Maralis for Christmas.  We went and had great seats.  The concert was over way to soon.  They basically performed their new album out called Four MF's Playin' Tunes.  I can't wait to add this to our library.  Afterwards, Ralph took me to my favorite frozen yogurt place called Luna Berry

Another really fun thing we go to do was go to a Jazz game.  The Trailblazers vs. Jazz.  Utah actually pulled the win out.  Now...I admit I am not a faithful follower of the Jazz, but do check in on how they are doing once in a while.  One of our corporate contacts that works for another company got us seats to their Suite for the evening.  We had Chips, guacamole, salad, fruit, barbecue meats, (chicken, ribs and brisket) steamed veggies and apple cobbler and ice cream for dessert.  We had unlimited beverages and great seats.  We were sitting next to the Huntsman Cancer Institute Suite and low and behold President Monson and his wife were sitting there enjoying the game.  I thought it might be a bit tacky to take his picture, so you will have to take my work for it.

The Curtis siblings got together for dinner.  We went to Cafe Trio (love their flat bread) and had a great time.  Someone took pics, but I can't remember who.  We had a great time just visiting and catching up with each other.  Ralph and I get to pick the spot for next time.

I had two birthday cards ready to deliver and I forgot to take them to the family get together.  Hope to get them in the mail quickly.  I am going to go ahead and post the card.  Masculine cards are so hard.  I love to add bows and bling.  Ralph reminds me on a regular basis that those things don't work on guy cards.

Keeping Busy and loving it!
Ta Ta for now
