Monday Montage 180

I am not sure where the time has gone, but we are on the final count down of 2020.  Christmas came and went - no snow.  It was quiet and at times lonely.  My boy crush is on the mend from a second knee surgery and with time will be his active normal self.  I have soooo many hopes for the year to come.

One thing that comes with the new year, is a new seasonal catalog and......Sale a Bration!!!  Who doesn't love free stamps?  I opted to used Vine Designs for my card this week.

I stamped the Oh so Ombre DSP with Versamark ink using the vine stamps to give the back ground some interest.  I cut the vine design 4 times so that I could cut out the elements I wanted to layer on top.  The dies that coordinate with stamp set have everything you need to make some real pretty cards with very little effort.

Stamps - Vine Design
Ink - Versamark, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Blushing Bride
Paper - Whisper white, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Blushing Bride, Highland Heather, Oh So Ombre DSP
Accessories - Flowering Vine Dies, Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack

Monday Montage 179

And the countdown is on....I can't believe how uneventful this holiday season has been.  I am finding people create drama's to make their lives exciting (gasp!)  I am still trying to make the holidays as normal as possible with the same traditions and treats. I made my Mama's fruitcake yesterday and yes I am one of those weirdo's that like a good fruitcake.  Lots of memories.

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop - These are such talented crafters I hope you find something that inspires you on every page.
I love a well laid out simple card.  Sometimes you can get lost in all the little extras and lose sight of the focal point.   Early on in my marriage we decided to buy a stuffed moose every Christmas...sometimes they are abundant and everywhere and sometimes they are not trending and almost impossible to find.
We have collected many over the years and the moose has become something of a symbol for us.

Stamps - Merry Moose
Ink - Versamark
Paper - Whisper White, Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Plaid Tidings DSP
Accessories - Moose Punch, White Embossing Powder, Stitched Rectangle Dies

My crush goes to surgery tomorrow to have his second knee surgery done.  It will be a long day, but I look forward to the results.  Crazy time to have surgery, but we have met our deductible, so it is worth it.  Not like we can or should go anywhere or do anything outside of our home anyway.  It will be a good time to really focus on the true meaning of Christmas.  A time to remember and appreciate friendships and relationships that hopefully will be renewed in person soon.

Well I hope you are enjoying yourself.  Next up is Dani - or if you are traveling in reverse, Charlet.  Hope your Day is fantastic.

Monday Montage #177

Welcome to Monday Montage Blog Hop.  I have been trying to stay away from making Christmas cards because I just haven't been ready to accept the season is upon us.  The snow today kind of put me in the mood for the holidays.  I thought this was a fun fold card to use with the Wishes and Wonder Stamps.

The front flap opens to this....

Stamps - Wishes and Wonder
Ink - Shaded Spruce
Paper - Real Red, Brushed Metallics, Whisper White, Shaded Spruce, Plaid Tidings DSP, Vellum
Accessories - Poinsettia Dies, Wonderful Gems, Wonder of the Season Ribbon Argyle Satin, North Pole Wonder Dies

The weather outside is Frightful and it's only the beginning of November.  It has snowed on and off all day.  So, being extra stuck at home, cause no one wants to walk the dog in the snow, I made spudnuts today.  It just felt like a day to make a home made doughnut and you can't go wrong with spudnuts with a maple glaze.  They turned out sooo goood.  Light and fluffy.  I'm gonna give credit to those good ol' Idaho Potatoes.
With the icky weather I am so glad I don't have to drive to work tomorrow.  I can roll out of bed and put on some comfy clothes and work from home.  One positive thing we have from the Covid Pandemic.  Our state count is so high right now.  They just issued a mask mandate and a don't socialize with anyone unless you live with them.  Our hospital capability is nearing capacity.  Not fun!.

Well I hope you are enjoying yourself.  Next up is Dani - or if you are traveling in reverse, Charlet.  Hope your Day is fantastic.

We Create - Bundle UP

Happy November and Welcome to the We Create Blog Hop!  I hope everyone had a happy Halloween.  We joined up with our neighbors upstairs and handed out candy - social distancing the hole time.  It was so fun to see the costumes and talk to people.  I have missed socializing a lot.
Stampin up offers a great deal in the bundles they sell.  The stamps set and dies at a discount.  A no brainer when you go to make the purchase.  The Bundle that I chose you use is Beautiful Autumn.  It has some great sentiments and all the little fall accents you need to create a fall card.

Stamps - Beautiful Autumn
Ink - Early Espresso, Bumble Bee, Terra Cotta Tile, Old Olive, Crumb Cake
Paper - Whisper White, Plaid Tidings, Cajun Craze
Accessories - Autumn Punch Pack, Stitched Shapes Dies, Layering Oval Dies, Wood Plank EF, Linen Thread, Wonderful Gems

I spent most of yesterday making my caramel apples and delivering them to my close friends and neighbors.  I usually look forward to this project every year, but I wasn't going to do it this year.  A couple of co-workers and friends guilted me into it.  Labor of love, but soooo delicious.  I made cute little Halloween tags to tie to the bags they were put into.  There is one left in my fridge and it's all MINE!

Thanks for stopping by and hanging with the We Create Group.  Jeanna is next on your journey.  Check out what bundle she used to create with.

Monday Montage #176

I woke up this morning to snow.  I know we have been lucky and had a fabulous Fall season, but we sure slammed into freezing cold weather.  The positive outlook is that I can wear my sweatshirts and sweatpants to keep warm.  Drink hot cocoa,  and snuggle under the blankets with my doggo. I hope you are keeping warm as you go through the blog hop.

I opted today for my card, to copy what everyone else is doing.  And why not.  This layout provides such a versatile template that looks great no matter what colors or DSP you use or sentiment.

Stamps - Gather Together
Ink - Pretty Peacock
Paper - Whisper White, Plaid Tidings DSP
Accessories - Linen Thread, 2019-2021 in color faceted dots, Pinewood Planks EF, Gathered Leaves Dies, Banners Pick a Punch

I can't believe how fast the holidays are upon us.  I walked into the grocery store yesterday only to find Christmas where the Halloween stuff was supposed to be.  It was a little shock to my system.  All I could think was Nope, Nope and Nope.  Not ready...not yet.  Are you ready to take on the holidays?

Monday Montage 175

Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop
I am so loving this Fall Season this year.  The colors have been so brilliant.  I even got my husband into the car for a short drive up Emigration Canyon and then down Parleys.  We are nearing the end, but still the colors are so pretty.  Which was the inspiration for my card this week.  I can't stay away from that gorgeous plaid paper.

I colored the ribbon with Cherry Cobbler Marker and colored the holly leaves to look fallish. Layout inspired from the Aug-Dec Mini Catalog.  There are so many fun things to see and ways to be inspired in the catalog.

Stamps - Gift Wrapped
Ink - Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Paper - Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla, Brushed Metallic, Plaid Tidings DSP
Accessories - Gift Bow Builder Punch, Sequins For Everything, Many Marvelous Markers, Gold Embossing powder

“Go back?” he thought. “No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!” (Bilbo Baggins)  The new left knee for my husband has been exactly that.  My boy crush is improving every day.  Even though the healing process hasn't quite fit what I had imagined - "On We Go!"  Between work and taking care all the other things life brings, I look forward to down time and a little bit of crafting.

We Create - You Go Ghoul

What a beautiful Fall day.  I soooo love this time of year.  Of course this is not news if you read my blog.  It is hard to stay at my desk in my office when I would rather be outside traipsing the mountains, going on picnics, finding out of the way cafes for yummy burgers and fries with my husband and dog.

Welcome to the We Create Blog Hop - I hope you see something that inspires you to create or makes you smile.

Halloween is a fun part of Fall - And a major part of Halloween is the treats right???  Chocolate and Caramel are my faves!

Stamps - Celebration Tidings
Ink - Black
Paper - Cajun Craze, Basic Black, Magic in the Night DSP
Accessories - White embossing powder, Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack, Celebration Label Dies, Banners Pick A Punch

Funny thing, when I went to take the picture of my project...look what I found right next to it.   Spider web and all.

Very fitting for the project - Don't ya think.

I am looking forward to all that October has to bring.  My husband has a new left knee and is getting more mobile every day.  The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has its semi-annual general conference which is a major spiritual boost for us.  All things pumpkin, and cool enough to snuggle in blankets on the couch.

Hop on over to Jeanna's blog to see what Ghoulie thing she has to share with you!

Monday Montage 173

Happy September.  Fall is in the air only 9 days away officially.  I love to decorate for Fall...I broke down and got me a letter board with some of my birthday $.  Totally frivolous, but I so wanted to do this...

I have it sitting on my piano next to a red truck with apples in the bed.  I totally get into the fall decor thing.  I can't wait to get more of my decorations out.

Speaking of apples...Hello Harvest Stamp set has a great apple stamp.  I have seen so many great samples using this stamp/punch combo, I combined lots of ideas to create my card.  I cut so many versions of "sweet" just couldn't find one that worked until I matched the red of the plaid.

Stamps - Hello Harvest, Cute Fruits
Ink- Black, Garden Green
Paper - Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Plaid Tidings DSP, Soft Suede
Accessories - Dainty Diamonds EF, Apple Builder Punch, Playful Alphabet dies, linen thread.

This month has already been a whopper of a month and we are 13 days in.  Huge hurricane force winds have taken out so many trees and damaged sooo much property.  My BIL only just got his power back on.  Its been off 5 full days.  There are still those without power.  The plague still plagues us and life seems to go on.  My husband gets a knee replaced tomorrow.  That will be fun Sarcastic Yellow Smiley Emoji Cartoon Vector Clipart - FriendlyStock.  Actually we have been looking forward to this for a while.  Can't wait to get him back on his feet!

We Create - Don't Stamp So Close to Me

Happy September!!!  Heading into my favorite time of year.  We still have the end of summer, but start to get the feels of fall.  Can't wait to get to the weekend to get out and play a bit.  My card this month features the daisy punches.  And yes, we still have daisies in the flower garden.  One of my favorite flowers - Happy Flowers!

We are creating projects with no stamping.  Usually I am all about the dies, but for some reason, when I had to create without a stamp, all I wanted to do was include a stamped image.  Here is my attempt at no stamps.

Stamps - NONE
Ink - None
Paper - Pacific Point, Whisper White, Balmy Blue, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight
Accessories - Plaid Builder, Large and Medium Daisy Punch, Poppy Moments Dies.

My dog has hurt is back leg muscle somehow.  Poor little guy just sits there and shakes when he has to move.  Not much we can do, but wait for the leg to heal.  I think it is a day to bake something yummy in the kitchen.  It is cool enough, it won't matter if I heat the house a little bit with the oven.  I am thinking something with zuchinni.  Gotta take advantage of the garden produce.

Well, Thanks for stopping by on the We Create Hop.  I hope you are enjoying what you see.  Hop on over to Julie to see what marvelous creation she has come up with.

Monday Montage 172

Welcome to the
Blog Hop

I cannot believe how fast summer is flying by.  Even though it has been unbearably hot and we've been cooped up, and we will be officially missing Utah Utes Football season...we have many things to be thankful for during this quarantine.

  1. We are healthy
  2. Our garden is doing well fresh tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zuchinni, etc
  3. We have been able to do some canning for the winter months
  4. We have dear friends that keep us sane.
  5. Family check ins are good.
  6. My husband gets a new knee in 2 weeks and then another in 6 to 8 weeks.
  7. We have a bulldog that brings such joy and pizzazz to our lives.
  8. I have been able to work from home the whole time life has been shut down.
  9. Our home worship on Sunday has improved and brought my husband and I closer together.
  10. Celebrated another birthday with my family and friends.  Regrettably not at Disney, but still good.

My card today strays from seasonal - Fall, Halloween, Christmas to Nutrition :)
Valentines Party GIF - Frozen Anna Chocolate GIFs
Both physical and mental.  Chocolate is good for the soul as well as the body.

Stamps - Nothings Better Than
Ink - Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Black
Paper - Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss, Plaid Tidings DSP Seaside Spray
Accessories - Layering Circle Dies, Tasteful Textile EF, Love You More Than Dies, Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo

My office is starting another challenge this year.  Instead of counting steps, we will be counting minutes of physical and spiritual activities.  From walking, running etc, to family history work, service projects etc..  Has to be in 30 minute increments and you get one point for each 30 min increment.  I think this will be the kick in the pants I need to get back on track to exercise and schedule my time more wisely.

Thanks for hanging out with the Monday Montage group - Your next stop is Dani - hit next to see what fabulous creation she has shared.  Or, if you are traveling the hop in reverse select the back button to see the what amazing projects Charlet has come up with.
