Monday Montage 188

I can't believe we are here again...Welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop.  Make sure you don't miss a blog by clicking the NEXT button at the end of this post.
Just last weekend I was hanging out with my BFF's in Walla Walla WA.  Loving the spring weather, stamping, relaxing, eating, shopping, playing with the cutest chiweenies and aussies.  Oh how I wished we were closer.  The stamping world has really brought true friendships to me that I would never have other wise found.

On that note - I had to use/borrow the cute little puffin stamp set that is available on May 4th.  It is adorbs!
The cute little tag is also new and you will want to get your hands on that for sure.  The scalloped circle edges were inked using the blender brushes.

Happy Spring and welcome to the Monday Montage blog hop.  Make sure you don't miss a blog by clicking the NEXT button at the end of this post.

I don't know about your neck of the woods, but the trees are just popping with blossoms and new leaves.  My allergies hate it, but I love to see the vibrant colors and the sure promise that spring and warmer weather was on his way.  Nature has gifted us some of the prettiest scenes as the snow clears away.

I was able to preorder some of the new Stampin' Up product from the next catalog. I always seem to be drawn to beautiful trees and tree settings. Oh the possibilities with this set of dies.  There are so many fun new things in the catalog - I have a small sampling included on this card.

I love the DSP in the catalog.  The beauty of the earth has great backgrounds.  The blue sky background looks water colored - so bright and eye catching.  The pansy paper lent itself to bright blossoms.  It is kind of hard to see, but the tree blossoms layer so there is depth to the blossoms, plus some of the petals lift.  Just think of all the seasons and what can be done with these trees!

Stamps - Etched in Nature (Sentiment)
Ink - Black
Paper - Soft Suede, Beauty of the Earth DSP, Pansy Petals DSP
Accessories - Taylor Made Tags, Inspiring Canopy Dies, Linen thread

We Create - The Animal Kingdom

Bone Jour and welcome to the We Create - The animal kingdom blog hop.  Make sure you don't miss a blog by clicking the NEXT button at the end of this post.
Stampin Up has so many great stamp sets that represent the animal kingdom.  I wanted to use one that showcased an animal very near and dear to my heart...The Dog.

I currently own an Old English/French Bulldog and he is the light and pizzazz of my homebound life.  This little dachshund and his little beret couldn't be cuter  I decided to keep the layout simple.  The bones are inked and stamped second generation  - so they wouldn't be so bold in the background.

I know his little bowl is actually a cone of shame, but he needed a little bowl, so I stamps a few of the little feet on it.  It works :)  Or maybe you can imagine he just got his cone removed and he is feeling fabulous!  So many great elements in this stamp set - get it while you can!

  • Stamps - Hot Dog
  • Ink - Black, Sahara Sand
  • Paper - Granny Smith Green, Basic white
  • Accessories - Stitched with Whimsy dies, Braided linen trim, clear embossing powder, Treasured Tags pick a punch, Cinnamon Cider and Granny Smith Green marker
