Monday Montage 158

Wouldn't that be great if there was a national holiday every month???  I could totally use an extra day off work every month.   You know its Presidents Day when your mail and TV ads are for furniture and electronics!  I hope to spend the day from work tackling a few more boxes/bins from moving and trying to work out a team building activity for about 30 people.  Don't ask how I got that assignment  PHHHHT!

So, one of the stamp sets I fell in love with right away was the Honey Bee Bundle.  The sample card in the catalog was so darling.  Little did I know that after I got it and started to see all the cards being made with it all I could picture was the Utah State Motto and Emblem

Trust me when I say that the beehive emblem is all over Utah. We are the Beehive state. So that being said, every card with the beehive started to remind me of the emblem I see everywhere.  The last thing I wanted to do was create a card that looked like some image pasted on a poster or door knob here in Utah.  I have left out the beehive for now.

Monday Montage 157

I love poppies!!!  Even though they are not in season, having these dies, stamps and papers allow me enjoy them all year.  They can go from elegant to super whimsical.   I love the two tone leaves and the border lines on the poppies.  Allows for all colors.  The sentiment ties in to the poppy that is for remembrance.

We Create Blog Hop – Have a Heart

I always celebrate when we have made it through January.   It seem like such a hard month to get through.  It seems to be the coldest, grayest, and recovery from the holidays.  Today is sunny and in the 40's which is practically shorts weather here in Utah.   Although Mother Nature is sending another snow storm to compliment the Monday commute to work.

First weekend in February is also a chance to watch the last football game of the season.  Super Bowl Sunday.  
We will worship at church in the morning and then come home to watch football, and relax a bit.  We are serving up Cuban Sandwiches, Veggie plate, Chips and dip, and Buttermilk Crunch cake with berries for dessert.

Monday Montage 156

Welcome to Monday Montage Blog Hop  I love three day weekends.  The real question is do a take the opportunity to get extra things done or take the day to snuggle with my dog on the couch and watch movies.  If I am productive it means a clean and organized stamp room and no more clothes piled on my cedar chest and put away.

I have seen soooo many amazing cards done with the Sale A Bration set  I had to give it a try.   Sometimes it is so hard to come up with something totally unique and not looking like everyone else's. I ended up producing a card that was inspired by Amy K.    I love Stampin Up ink and all the colors we have!  The punched flowers have Wink a stella on them to make them sparkle with the center champagne gems.

Monday Montage 155

I love weekends.  It is so great to spend extra time with my sweetheart and my doggie.  Its a great time to schedule some "me" time and a little creative time.  And then sometimes things don't go as planned and then I end up having my creative time at midnight (LOL)

 I love this music set from the new seasonal catalog. The piano, the music notes and staff,  the hearts!!!
So cute.

We Create - New Year, New Products

Dear 2019, I have been telling everyone how much I have disliked you!!!  After further reflection I feel I need to apoligize. 
 In you.....
  • I celebrated 50 years of life and 22 years of an amazing marriage. 
  • I have enjoyed good health barring a couple of bad colds
  • Trips to disneyland with some amazing friends
  • Supportive Family and Friends that I could not survive without.
  • Plays and concerts
  • Laughter until tears rolled from my face
  • A dog that I fall in love with everytime I see him.
  • Trials and tribulations that may end up working out the best for me.
  • A job that I enjoy and people that I love to work with.

So I bid you, 2019, a fond farewell and wish a Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Monday Montage 154

When I was much younger I always heard adults talk about how much time flies and how I would understand when I got older.  Boy....do I ever understand.  The bad part is that is gets worse every year.  No matter how busy you are time still flies by.

Christmas is around the corner and I find myself longing for peace quiet and tranquility.  I grew up in a small logging community that sits right on the Payette River.  


There are often deer or elk in a snowy meadow with the sun glistening on the snow making it look like a million diamonds.  I tried to recreate that scene in my mind, but haven't even come close to capturing the beauty.  If I had more time I would have tried again and again until I got it right, but as I mentioned earlier.  Time Flies!!!
