We Create Brights Collection Blog Hop

Summer time!!!  It may be hot, but I love this season for the produce in the garden, hiking and campfires, playing in the pool or lake, the light that stays until its time for bed and the all flowers of summer.

When I was younger I had a gingham girls coloring book.  I colored every page so carefully and I think I even saved the book after I was done.  I am always drawn to anything gingham.  My cousin and I would lay on the floor and she would take one page and I the other and we would color together.  Fun Times.

Here is my card for the Bright collection...Can't go wrong with gingham and daisys. These yellow daisy's just speak summer to me!

Stamps - Enjoy Life, Birch Background
Ink - Poppy Parade, Black
Paper - Poppy Parade, Granny Apply Green, Brights DSP, Whisper White
Accessories - Heirloom Frames and Dies, Medium Daisy Punch, Wild Rose Dies, In color Faceted Dots

Monday Montage 144

Summer is flying by.  I long for the summers when I complained about how hard my life was, but somehow finished chores by the time the river was warm enough to swim in.  We walked or drove our little Trail 90 down to our swimming hole.  It was right in one of the many bends of the Middle Fork of the Payette River and we would spend the rest of our afternoons swimming with the fish and soaking up the sun on the sand bar until it was time to come home and help Mom get dinner.  Adulting just doesn't seem quite as fun -

So... Another exciting thing is that College football is starting up in about a month..  My Utes first game is against our long time rival BYU.  Cant wait to see how this one turns out.  I love going to the football games and cheering on my team!

Here is the card I made for the Monday Montage Hop.  Images like this are one the main reasons I invest in Stampin Up markers.  They match the ink pads and paper and allow you to add multiple colors to one image precisely.

Stamps - A Little Lace, Vibrant Vases (Sentiment)
Ink - Pretty Peacock, Stampin Write Markers (Pretty Peacock, Roccoco Rose, Mango Melody, Old Olive, Seaside Spray)
Paper - Pretty Peacock, Whisper White
Accessories - Stitched Lace die, 2019-2021 In-color Faceted Dots, Pearl Basic Jewels, Reversible Ribbon Pretty Peacock/Old Olive.

We Create Red, White and Blue Blog Hop

Oh my goodness,  It is July!  I love celebrating the 4th with family and friends.  I love the get togethers the parades, the fireworks and the chance to really remember that I am so blessed in this country with the many freedoms we have.  I always find myself getting emotional as the National Anthem plays.  I know many sacrifices were made to ensure that we have the freedoms we do!

My inspiration for this card was a pic I saw while perusing facebook.

I knew I wanted to try and recreate this with some of the great new stamp sets we have.  Doesn't swinging make you feel free?  I love flying through the air on a swing.  It never gets old.  Sometimes I have to give way to the little people instead of hogging them for myself.

Stamps - Waterfront, Silhouette Scenes
Paper - Thick Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink - Blueberry Bushel, Real Red, So Saffron
Accessories Sweet Silhouette Dies, watercolor brush

A Big Thanks for stopping by and hopping with the We Create Crew.  Your next stop is the totally adorable Jeanna Bohanon.  Lets go check out what Stampin Time Somewhere has to share....

Monday Montage 140

We have arrived at June and I can't help but sing in my mind the tune from Oklahoma....June is Bustin Out Allover!  Even though our spring has been super wet, the results have been the most amazing rainbows, green trees and grass and gorgeous spring flowers.  My walks with the dog allow me to catch all the fragrances from cut grass, sweet honeysuckle and roses.  The air is so fresh...ya just want to be outside.

My card this week was one I had envisioned in my head when I very first saw the Mosaic stamp set.  I flecked the tree with my markers flirty flamingo and granny apple green to create the dual colors.  The DSP is so pretty. There were two or three that would have worked perfectly for the background.

Stamps - Memorable Mosaic
Paper - Granite Gray, Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Mosaic Mood DSP
Accessories  - Granite Gray, Sahara Sand, Granny Apple and Flirty Flamingo Markers,  Wink of Stella, Perfect Parcel Die (tag) Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon

We Create Basics Blog Hop

The theme chosen for this months hop is basics - black, white and or vanilla.  These kinds of cards can be very striking or turn into one of those ink blob images that scientists use to analyse your psyche.

It is possible that this falls into the ink blob.  Detail get a little lost, but the elements are fun!

The background is a new die called stitched lace die.  I use Daisy Delight and Daisy Lane Stamp Sets and a new tag punch.

Hop on over to Kims to see what she has come up with.
